This season of American Idol (TV) has been totally unpredictable and each week we are forced to say goodbye to four talented contestants. The talent is strong but once again, like every season, the uncontrollable nerves are getting in the way, making it hard to pick favorites. It is still a little early to get too attached to some performers, but that has not stopped the judges from already picking their favorites. The emotional roller coaster also known as American Idol (TV) came to a close for four Idol hopefuls including Katelyn Epperly, Todrick Hall, Alex Lambert, and Lilly Scott.

When you get this far in the competition, it is very hard to say goodbye to your dream of winning, which we all saw firsthand when the talented Alex Lambert was voted off. With tears in his eyes, the broken singer put his best foot forward and sang his heart out one last time on the Idol stage, leaving many speechless and wondering if America had made a mistake.
The girls were given major compliments during the early stages of this process; they were hailed as the more talented and everyone including Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi wanted a girl to win Season 9. Since Week 2, the judges have been coming down hard on the girls, pushing them toward the Top 10, but many have fell short. Katelyn Epperly and Lilly Scott were extremely artistic; however, they were both dismissed after lackluster performances.

Frontrunner Todrick Hall caught the attention of America during the multi-city audition tour with his charismatic personality and infectious smile. There is no denying the fact that Todrick had talent, but many feel his theatrical performance style was too similar to Adam Lambert's, last year's runner-up. Since leaving Idol, Todrick has decided to try and get himself a role on the Fox's smash hit Glee (TV).
