Spencer Pratt has decided to take an undisclosed leave of absence effective immediately from the hit MTV show The Hills (TV). Even though production for the upcoming season is currently underway, Pratt has advised MTV that he will no longer take part in the filming schedules. Instead of filming at Empire every night with his costars, Pratt will be held up studying in the library as he prepares for a new career. Find out what new career Pratt has his eyes set on, and how it directly affects your safety!
Life for Pratt is about to dramatically change, but the Hollywood personality is ready for something new. Over the past year, we have seen a decline in screen time; in fact, Pratt's "creepy flesh-colored beard" has gotten more airtime on E!'s Soup (TV) than on MTV. Pratt is currently enrolled at University of Southern California (USC) and tells People Magazine he is studying software engineering with a focus on encryption.
With hopes to work for American Defense Enterprises in their cyber security division, Pratt is studying hard and hopes to follow his dreams through. The actor exclusively tells the magazine, "My new mission is this: To do my part in maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent emerging technologies from threatening our nation's security."
Pratt credits President Barack Obama for his career change, who has openly talked about cyber threat being a national security challenge.
As far as wife Heidi Montag goes, she will continue to clock in airtime on the hit show The Hills (TV) and is currently filming a cameo in Adam Sandler's new film Just Go With It. In light of his new goal, Pratt is no longer representing Heidi Montag, handing over the reins to psychic Aiden Chase. Good Luck to the Pratt's on their new endeavors!
