Lost Season Six Has Start Date & New Night

As if Lost (TV) isn't confusing enough, ABC is throwing fans another curve ball by changing the night the show airs.  The show which began its run on Thursday night, found a home on Wednesday night, and beginning on February 2, 2010, the final season of Lost will kick off on Tuesday night.  New night, new drama, and a slew of old cast members returning for one last and final hooray.  Are you ready to get your Lost (TV) on?

In a daring move, Lost (TV) is ready to take on CBS top dog NCIS: Los Angeles (TV) on their new night starting in early February.  NCIS is a ratings gold mine and ABC is hoping to cash in on the final season of Lost (TV) by bringing some familiar faces back to the small screen.  The Vampire Diaries (TV) Ian Somerhalder has been spotted on set and V (TV) starlet Elizabeth Mitchell has been caught flying back and forth from Hawaii to make guest appearances.

If you are looking for any spoilers for the new season of Lost (TV), good luck, because the producers are working overtime to make sure that does not happen.  Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are keeping all season six secrets tightly locked up on the island and fans will have to wait until the two-hour premiere on February 2 to get some answers.  Lindelof cryptically tells Sci Fi Wire, "What it is we’re doing this year is different than what we’ve done in other years."

At the end of last season a hydrogen bomb exploded in 1977 which lead fans to believe that the life course of the passenger's of Flight 815 will forever be altered.  Don't worry if you are confused because that is what Lost (TV) is about -- confusing fans.  Just think, by May of 2010 Lost fans will finally have some answers and have more substantial information on the mysterious island.

When Sci Fi Wire spoke with Damon Lindelof about the support from fans he stated, "I think this had got to be a record for how much patience people have, but the idea that we're actually getting to answer some of these questions creates this incredible nostalgia, especially when you're doing it through the characters and the actors who were there in the very beginning, so it's pretty cool, theoretically."  Make sure to tune into the six and final season of Lost airing on February 2, 2010 on ABC.
