Television sweeps are the best; the writers save up all the juicy storylines and make them explode during the pivotal time for networks. Sweeps Week is so important because the data that is collected by the Nielsen Rating is used by networks to set advertising costs based on their results. Because of this, many networks pull out all the stops and this year is absolutely no different. Many of the sweeps episodes have aired and later this week we will see what else the networks have in store for us, but we want to know what you think so far!
CSI Trilogy: CBS took three of their most popular shows and brought fans a multiple night CSI event spanning CSI: Miami (TV), CSI: NY (TV) and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (TV). The teams from each city work together to help bring down one of the largest prostitute rings and by working together help reunite a mother with her lost daughter. The CSI Trilogy kept fans happy, brought in new fans, and opened the doors for another trilogy during spring sweeps.
Melrose Place (TV): The return of the ultimate bay girl Amanda Woodward (Heather Locklear), enough said!
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (TV): Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) finds herself in a heap of trouble when incriminating evidence unveils her as the lead suspect in a murder case. Working hard to prove her innocence, Detective Stabler (Christopher Meloni) finds his tasks more difficult than he predicted.

Gossip Girl (TV): The CW scores Lady Gaga as a guest performer who memorized audiences during her performance of Bad Romance in a red gown with a 30-foot train. We are only guessing, but the threesome plot line and Hilary Duff guest appearances didn't hurt either. The always daring and creative show knocked it out of the park for The CW ranking in higher viewership.
House M.D. (TV): You've got to love the unpredictable and challenging storylines on House M.D. and November was a real treat for fans. You have the whole murder of an African dictator courtesy of Chase, House recovering from psychological issues, and to top it off the team treated a porn star. Guest star Troy Garity comes in with a pain that he needs House to treat, ASAP.

Two and a Half Men (TV): The networks top show really didn't need to pull any fancy tricks to get viewers to watch since they are all watching anyway. But as a treat, super hottie Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica (TV)) shacks up with Charlie and begins to mess with his mind!
The plot lines are getting out of control just in time for sweeps and we are looking for your input to see how your favorite show is going. Did the writers push it too far and have a 'jumping the shark" moment or have you been extremely satisfied? Keep watching because sweeps isn't over yet and the networks have a week left of surprises left for you!
