Life is tough when you are The Bachelorette. You are surrounded by a group of men clamoring for your attention while endless glasses of champagne are never more than an arm's length away. Jillian Harris was handpicked as this season's Bachelorette because of her bubbly personality, her bonafide good looks, and her ever present Canadian accent. It all comes down to tonight when Jillian must decide between the cool and causal Kiptyn or the career driven Ed. What makes this decision even tougher for Jillian is when the booted Reid comes back with diamonds in hand looking to propose.
For weeks Jillian's bedroom has been a revolving door of handsome men who try to impress the Canuck with their skills at dance, guitar, and poetry. But after painfully having to watch grown men cry, Jillian dwindled down the group of prospective husbands to only two. In the two hour finale tonight at 8pm on ABC, Jillian will be faced with the hardest decision of her life. Who will she pick to spend the rest of her life with? Okay, maybe not the rest of her life, but until the press tour ends.
In the past, The Bachelor franchise has not had much success in the marriage department. On finale night, they all have big hopes and dreams but when they return to normal life, everything changes. When the show is airing, the couple is not allowed to speak in any way, making it very difficult to grow and learn in their relationship. Instead their life is placed on pause while the rest of the world catches up; they are only allowed to speak on the phone, but can't tell any of their family, friends, or coworkers.
The ball is in Jillian's court tonight until an old flame comes rushing through the door and throws The Bachelorette off her game. Fans loved Reid and thought that his silliness complimented Jillian very well, so when he was given the boots, fans were shocked. The only person shocked tonight will be Jillian when her decision gets even harder when Reid reenters the picture.
