Shock was served up on America Idol this past Thursday when Tennessee hopeful Alexis Grace was abruptly sent packing. It was country week and the southern sweetie turned to Dolly Parton's "Jolene" to help her sail into the Top 10. However the wind was blown out of her sail when she was surprisingly sent home shy of the summer tour. The talented singer, the graceful performer and the adoring mother reached the hearts of millions when she sang and many are sad to see her depart Idol. PopStar spoke with the fallen Idol and she has a special message to share with all her fans.
When we first met the short haired blondie that could belt out Aretha Franklin we knew that she would make it to the finals of Idol. When the judges advised her to "dirty it up" during the audtions Aleixs listened and threw some spunky pink highlihgts in her hair. Alexis was at home on stage and millions were shocked and saddneed when she was voted off so early. It won't be long before this we this spunk singer back up on stage somewhere rocking it out.
The hardest part to swallow is that Alexis will not be joining the Top 10 Idol summer tour beginning in June. Do not feel too bad for the Tennessee beauty because she is extermly talened and personalable it will be only months before we are hearing her voice on the radio. Just remeber all the Idol kicked off early that turned into superstars like Jennifer Hudson, Diana DeGarmo, Chris Daughtry and David Archuleta.
PopStar spoke with the shocked Idol contestant and was able to get Alexis reaction to her massisve support from fans all over. Alexis said, " I just want to say thank you, guys. Because of you, I made it this far and you guys rock and I definitely want to not disappoint you and get out there and keep working and keep singing and making music for you guys. I really appreciate everything that you’ve done. I really do. I love you guys.". We wish you luck Alexis and we will all be wathcing for your next move!
