Sneak Peak: New CW Shows

The CW is undoubtedly the best network on television.  Each week they bring up Blake Lively in Gossip Girl, Sophia Bush in One Tree Hill, Tyler Labine in Reaper, Jensen Ackles in Supernatural,  and Tom Welling in Smallville.  What else could we really ask for?  How about some new shows this coming fall?  You ask and The CW delivers.  We already know that The CW has given the green light for the Gossip Girl spinoff and there is loud chatter of a remake of Melrose Place.  But what about some new show that we can really sink our teeth into?

[==BREAK==]

Vampire Diaries

Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone have made vampires so hot these days that The CW is jumping on the blood sucking bandwagon and coming out with a new show called Vampire Diaries.  If you love the intensity and passion in Twilight, then you are going to love Vampire Diaries.  A young female protagonist is the desire of two vampire brothers; one good and one bad.  Which will prevail, good or evil?  Marcos Siega has been tapped to direct the new drama and hold directing credits on Cold Case, Dexter, True Blood, Shark and Fastlane, just to name a few.

Body Politic

For all you CNN junkies out there, The CW is bringing you your own political drama that gives you an inside look at a staffer inside Washington.  Body Politic will follow a young woman that moves to D.C. to become a staffer for a senator, but it is what she learns from her peers that really teaches her.  Scott Winant will be sitting in the directing chair making this the new obsession for all those up and coming politicians of tomorrow.  Winant has directed such hits as True Blood, Men of a Certain Age, Women's Murder Club and Huff.

A Beautiful Life

Oh to be young, rich, and beautiful, living and working in Manhattan.  In a new series coming to The CW "Life" follows the lives of models cohabiting and working together in Manhattan.  Christian Duguay is set to direct and bring this vision to life on The CW.  Duguay recently received praise for his directing duties on the Lifetime movie Coco Chanel which was a biopic on the famed designer.

What new CW show are you most excited about?  Plus you must still be super excited that The CW picked up six of our favorite shows from this season to come back.  Yup that means you will be seeing more of One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, 90210, America's Next Top Model, Supernatural, and Smallville.
