Hailed “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen has rocked his way into the hearts of millions and currently is preparing to perform the much hyped Super Bowl XLIII halftime show. Since the Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake halftime debacle the performers have been extremely safe. Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Prince and Tom Petty all yawned their way off stage but this year Bruce Springsteen is coming in to shake things up.
Forget Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bruce Springsteen is ready to take the title of America’s Sweethearts when he hits the stage Sunday night in Tampa, Florida in front of 93 million viewers. A self-described red-blooded American, Bruce Springsteen sings Born in the U.S.A. with pride and Raise Up with hope for our nation during troubling times. We are waiting on baited breath to see what Bruce has to offer this Sunday night during the Super Bowl XLIII.
Back in the late ‘60’s the Jersey born artist worked odd jobs while performing with his band up and down the east coast. Bruce acquired the nickname “The Boss” because it was his job after each gig to collect the bands money and divide it up. In 1972 Springsteen signed a deal with Columbia Records and brought some of his Jersey boys into the studio with him forming the E Street Band.
Sixteen hit albums, eighteen Grammy’s, one Emmy, one Golden Globe and one Oscar can only begin to define the success that Bruce Springsteen has had over the past four decades. This coming Sunday Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band will hit the stage at Super Bowl XLIII halftime show to prove that the safe performers of yesterday are gone for good!
