Ring, Ring...
Fans who are goo goo for Gaga will be all ears on Thursday, March 11th. That's the day Lady Gaga premieres her new music video for the song "Telephone," the second single from her CD, "Fame Monster." The video features Beyonce Knowles, who joins Gaga for a second time. The two paired up last year in Beyonce's "Video Phone" from her CD, "I Am....Sasha Fierce."
Beyonce has now dialed herself into the crazy world of Gaga, and the divas are off the hook. The nine minute video reportedly displays Quentin Terrantino-ish elements of violence, with stunning, bold images designed to stimulate all the right senses. Lady Gaga is sure to do what she does best; invoke a reaction. She does nothing by accident, and like her or not, a reaction she gets. The visual and vocal effects of her artful creations often disprove the theory suggesting there's no such thing as an original thought.
Ding, Ding...
The video's premise has Lady Gaga jailed for the murder of her boyfriend, with Beyonce as her supportive friend throughout the ordeal, picking up where paparazzi left off. Acclaimed video director Jonas Akerlund did the honors of overseeing this production, keeping Gaga's vision in mind. In a February interview with KIISFM and E!'s Ryan Seacrest, Lady Gaga had this to say about the video, "What I like about it, is it's a real true pop event. When I was younger, I was always excited when there was a big, giant event happening in pop music, and that's what I wanted this to be."
Phones are ringing everywhere, so monsters of the world, unite.
Your wait is over.
Lady Gaga's epic video for "Telephone" will debut on E! News at 11:30 p.m., March 11th. The video will also make its online debut at Midnight on VEVO.com, LadyGaga.com, and CherryTreeRecords.com.
