Since 2008, the Twilight franchise has earned over $2 billion dollars and made household names out of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Hundreds of dedicated fansites have popped up over the web, Twilight themed merchandise is everywhere you turn and the fan base continues to grow. Interesting enough, there is another phenomenon that has taken off - Twilight inspired tattoos.
Around the world, fans flock to tattoo shops to permanently declare their love for all things Twilight (2008). In an interview with TwilightSeriesTheories.com Meyer remarked about the tattoo craze, “The tattoos make me cry. Ten years are gonna pass and your gonna read another book and your tattoo is gonna spread and you’re gonna be really unhappy you did that!” Luckily for Meyer, it does not seem like her franchise will be easy to top in the next decade!
The avid fans aren’t the only ones obsessed with Twilight inspired tattoos, the actors of the franchise are getting involved as well. Back in November, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (2010) star Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) asked fans to help design a tattoo for the wolf pack. Spencer told Extra TV, “If you send in suggestions about a tattoo design that the boys and I could get, that would be great.” No word on if Spencer and the pack ever found their perfect Twilight (2008) inspired tattoo design.
