The Twilight Saga: New Moon is going to have some tough competition this weekend thanks to Warner Brother's new flick The Blind Side (2009). The heartwarming true story will not only pluck at your heartstrings and force a few tears but it tells a story about kindness and unconditional love. Starring Sandra Bullock (The Proposal (2009)), Tim McGraw (Friday Night Lights (2004)), Oscar winner Kathy Bates (Misery (1990)) and Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher, The Blind Side opens nationwide November 20th.
The Blind Side (2009) might draw in the large male crowd but if you are looking for the female population follow the scream into The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009) theaters. The Twilight Saga continues in New Moon as Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) finds herself heartbroken after her love Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) leaves her. Bella's BFF Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) is there to pick up the pieces and help mend a broken heart in New Moon also opening nationwide November 20th.
The box office throw down begins on November 20th and the two competitors are ready to duke it out until the last customer pays. Who do you think will take the number one spot this weekend, New Moon of the sports flick The Blind Side?

The story begins with a young Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) who is struggling and trying to survive on his own while virtually homeless. One of thirteen, Oher dealt with an unstable home life and sought refuge on the streets away from his home. When the young teenage boy is spotted wearing shorts and a t-shirt in the dead of winter by Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) she feels compelled to help. One night turned into Oher living with the Tuohy family and adapting and adjusting to the new life while excelling on the football field. This uplifting story not only tracks the life of the All American football player but also shows the compassion of one family that was willing to take a chance and was greatly rewarded.

The story begins with an undying love that was tightly bound together at the end of Twilight (2008) when Edward (Robert Pattinson) and Bella (Kristen Stewart) vowed to love each other forever. The boundaries of love that were experienced within Twilight all change in New Moon when Bella finds herself heartbroken after her love leaves her alone. In a deep and dark depression, Jacob Black (Taylor Launter) is the only person that is able to reach Bella and open up her world to new experiences and opportunities that were not possible with Edward. The Saga continues and New Moon promises to be full of action and tons of shirtless scenes of the buff TayTay.
Both movies look beautiful but only one will win the coveted top of the box office for this week, so who do you think will take it?
