Bring It On: Fight to the Finish

Cheerleading has always been featured on ESPN when they filmed Nationals but besides the negative stereotypes, cheerleaders never had a voice in Hollywood.  That all changed in 2000 when the Bring It On franchise was born.  Finally, the inner workings of a cheerleadership have been exposed and the line between the good and the bad has been drawn.

Bring It On: Fight to the Finish follows Lina (Christina Milian) who moves from East LA to the prime and proper Malibu to start a new life with her mother, her step-father, and her new step-sister.  Having to leave her masterful squad Lina has a new challenge of turning a nothing sqaud into a squad worthly of Nationals.

Cheerleading is an art and over the past nine years we have experienced the highs and lows that accompany competitive cheerleading in the Bring It On franchise.  The original Bring It On starring Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku opened in 2000 and instantly became a fan favorite.  It a simple storyline that plays out every year in gyms worldwide.  Cheerleading is more than just a sport, it is a lifestyle and in the latest Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, Christina Milian is spearheading the sqaud.

Milian is bringing a whole new flavor to the Bring It On franchise with the latest film.  The Latino presence is felt through this film from lingo to dance moves which are widely refreshing.  The refreshing take explores a whole new world of cheerleaders and even the costars of the film agree.  Vanessa Born, who plays Gloria in the high flying film remarks about what sets this movie apart from others within the franchise.  Born remarks about the dance fusion in Bring It On: Fight to the Finish, "dance fusion and the Latin flavor, it's like nothing you've ever seen."  Another remarks, "This movie has so much flavor, it's crazy.  The energy is like a thousand watts."

Lina (Christina Milian) has the spunk needed to turn the dull uncoordinated squad into the hippest, tightest, and best seen in Malibu.  Lina spent her life growing up in East LA; she had captained her squad to nationals and was ready to do it again.  There was one problem, her mother just remarried a man from Malibu which means she was packing up and moving west to a life of sunshine, surfing, and a new squad.  Will Lina be able to handle the opposing squad, her squad, and her new relationship with super jock Evan?  Make sure to check out the action packed Bring It On: Fight to the Finish available now on DVD.
