Welcome to another edition of Harry Potter and the Lost Diary! Today, we have news about the London and U.S. premieres, a clip about Weasley Wizard Wheezes, more interviews with Tom Felton, information on the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince video game, a musical about Harry Potter, and so much more, so let's jump right in...
That's right! On July 7, the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be premiering in London and no matter where you live, you can watch it broadcast live on the Internet at LiveStream. We'll update you again when the event is near so you don't miss it!
James Phelps and Oliver Phelps guest starred recently on Blue Peter and showcased an exclusive clip from HBP. The clips showns Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and the Phelps' (Weasley Twins) in their new shop in Diagon Alley.
In this month's Readers Digest U.K. Edition there is an interview with Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy). Tom has definitely been hitting up the media circuit doing more interviews than we are able to keep track of! For all of you Felon fans out there, you must really be enjoying this change of pace. He is also featured in an article at Boy's Life Magazine, which largely focuses on scouting.
You can catch all of your favorite Harry Potter actors in this featurette about the making of the HBP video game. Daniel Radcliffe, Bonny Wright, Emma Watson, and Tom Felton are all featured in the video. The graphics to the game look pretty low-budget to me, but hopefully that is just the video quality and not the game itself.
One of the things I like to do is find interesting articles out there that you may not have come across. My favorites tend to be the ones that can relate something personal or infuse us with the act of thinking. While promoting the Half-Blood Price, the HBP Truck was in Holland today. Matthew Lewis (Longbottom) spoke to a Dutch television news network about the upcoming movie. He's so confident in real life; he's starting to become the Longbottom we see in HBP and DH!
Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry, where the Harry Potter Exhibit is located, recorded nearly 20,000 visitors in one day. According to the museum, that's the highest single day in more than a decade. They were celebrating their 76th anniversary!
Emma Watson has been quoted as saying she does not have "a burning desire to act." She will soon be heading off to college and we may not hear from her much after the filming of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We've heard similar stories about Daniel Radcliffe. I doubt we've seen the last of either, though.
We haven't brought this one up yet, but it's been circulating for nearly a week now. You can watch an original musical play of Harry Potter at YouTube. That link will take you to a playlist that will allow you to watch it from beginning to end. I've never been a big fan of musicals so I haven't watched it. :-)
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince will be premiering in New York City at the Ziegfeld Theater. You can expect the full red carpet treatment for all of the Harry Potter stars that will be in attendance, including Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Bonnie Wright, and Tom Felton. We'll be at the event so expect some exclusive photos and interviews from us when the premiere arrives on July 9!
