No "Aunt Dolly" in Hannah Montana The Movie

Even though country singer Dolly Parton has expressed interest in acting in the upcoming Hannah Montana: The Movie, "Aunt Dolly" will not be appearing alongside the cast members of Disney series Hannah Montana, like Miley Cyrus, Mitchel Musso, Emily Osment, Jason Earles, and Billy Ray Cyrus. This news came as a surprise and a disappointment for Dolly Parton, because the producers asked her if she wanted to come back in the movie and she said yes...

"I said I would love to! I assumed that they were gonna be writing me a part," she said in a recent interview. She also confirmed that news saying that she would be starring in the movie are all incorrect. It would definitely be a great disappointment for little fans, who often address her as "Aunt Dolly" warmly upon meeting her on the streets.

To all the Hannah Montana fans, the film is slated to premiere on April 10, 2009.
