
It has been a little less than a month, and the nation of Haiti is still in peril, as they fight back from the devastating earthquake of January 12, 2010. From the moment of impact, people from all around the world have been banning together to help the victims of this terrible disaster. Celebrities have been hosting events, school students have been planning food drives, and individuals are offering whatever they can to help their fellow Haitian. The fundraising benefits have not ended, and two major events have just been announced to help raise money for those suffering.
Live from the Nokia Theater in LA, talk show host and actor George Lopez will call upon his close friends to help raise more money for the emergency in Haiti. Tickets are on sale for this star studded event. The benefit kicks off at 6:30pm and tickets are on sale for $75.00 and $50.00.
Special Guests: Slash, Ray Romano, Cedric the Entertainer, Andy Garcia, Cypress Hill, Margaret Cho, Russell Peters, Beth Hart, Cheech & Chong. Special Guest Hosts: Kobe Bryant, Larry David, Samuel L. The two-hour concert will air live on February 5th, 2010, at 8pm from the American Airlines Arena in Miami. Headlining the event will be Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Pharrell, and Queen Latifah and all proceeds will benefit Yele Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare, and Children's Safe Drinking Water. Acts are still said to be announced, but you can expect the star power to come out in full force once again to show support and raise funds for those in need.

Host Diddy spoke about the event that will be air on BET, Centric, MTV, and VH1 and offered his heartfelt condolences to the citizen of Haiti. The superstar said, "Words cannot express how I felt watching the catastrophic events unfold in Haiti. I believe it is our duty to come together and help our brothers and sisters in Haiti, especially now, in their greatest hour of need. I have joined forces with Queen Latifah, Pharrell, BET and several of the biggest names in music today to raise funds for the Haiti Relief efforts. Together we can make a difference."
