Cupid was a tricky little devil in the year of 2009, dousing many couples with a double dose of love rendering them lovesick. These lovelorn couples were spotted snuggling at Coffee Bean in West Hollywood, jet setting around the world for impromptu vacations, and enjoying the daily grind of everyday life. 2009 set the stage for many new romances, and providing the backdrop to the continued success of many long term Hollywood couples.

High School Musical (2006) sweethearts Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens made it through another and fellow Disney star Kevin Jonas tied the knot with his princess in a lavish Long Island fairy tale-esque wedding. New couples emerged, costars hooked up, and some of our favorite couples who split in 2008 found their way back to each other, thanks to cupid in 2009. Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom: The reality TV star and LA Lakers forward proved that there is love at first sight when the couple fell head over heels in love this past August. Khole's older sister gushed to People Magazine about her younger sister's new romance, "They’ve been together a few weeks and are literally inseparable. Khloe thinks he’s amazing and makes her laugh and smile constantly.”

Jessica Szohr & Ed Westwick: There is nothing better than young love -- just ask the lovelorn Jessica Szohr who dished her inner feeling for Gossip Girl (TV) costar and boyfriend Ed Westwick to Teen Vogue. The actress talked about the evolution of their relationship, "It can be a little awkward when all of a sudden [you have feelings for] someone you'd call to talk about a different boyfriend," she says. "But there wasn't a lot of thinking and talking. It kind of just happened. We had fun together, and we were like, 'All right, let's see where this goes.'"

Drew Barrymore & Justin Long: 2009 was a rocky year for the couple who had been dating each other for the past few years. As their new film He's Just Not That Into You (2009), the couple took a break, however their love couldn't keep them apart and this past fall they were spotted getting hot and heavy again. While attending a party in New York City this past December party goers could not help but notice the love blossoming between the two; one attendee even leaked, "They looked very happy. It definitely seems serious," to the Daily News.

Russell Brand & Katy Perry: The past four months have been a fairytale romance for comedian Russell Brand and super pop princess Katy Perry. The couple met when Brand hosted the 2009 MTV VMA's and since then the couple have been inseparable. News reports are saying that over the Christmas break, Russell proposed to Katy! An insider reports, "He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes. They don't know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work. Russell is searching for a jeweler designer to create a ring in time for the New Year."

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt: The wedding of the decade took place last April and friends, family and The Hills (TV) costars piled into the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, California to show their support. The reality star couple has since left the spotlight and take every chance they can to shower each other with loving words. The couple dished to MTV that their costar Kristin Cavallari was the one that introduced the couple by playing cupid. Speidi said, "Kristin is the one who actually introduced Spencer and I ... in a nightclub three years ago."
