We love Birthdays here at PopStar and today we have some of Hollywood's heavy hitters that are about to embark on milestone years. Today, David Anders from Alias, Heroes, and most recently Lie to Me turns 28, songstress Lisa Loeb who recently got married after endlessly searching for love turns 41, The Kingdom and Hancock director Peter Burg turns 45, and Hustle and Flow Oscar nominee Terrence Howards turns the big 40 today!
David Anders made his television debut on Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen's show So Little Time in 2001. Since then David has had guest role on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Grey's Anatomy, and has been a series regular on Alias, playing Julian Sark, and on Heroes playing Adam Monroe. David Anders Holt took the stage name David Anders because a fellow actor was already going by the name of David Holt. With four movies in production this year, we know 28 is going to be a great year for this amazing actor.
You will remember Peter on screen as an actor in Chicago mid 90's when he played Dr. Billy Kronk. Nowadays you have to look really hard to see Peter Berg in front of the camera and sometimes he will randomly pop up in front of the camera in a few of the shows or movies. Grabbing a cameo on Friday Night Lights and sneaking a frame in Hancock this multi talented writer/director/producer has spent the last ten years developing his name in Hollywood. We hope you are enjoying your 45th birthday, Peter, and we all thank you for bringing us original and thought provoking content to our favorite television shows and movies.
If you lived in the 90's, you remember the song. It was on every radio channel, every television show, and at every dance. Lisa Loeb was discovered by her neighbor actor Ethan Hawke who helped pass along Lisa's music to record producers. "Stay" was named the 93rd best song of the 1990's making Lisa a 90's icon. A few years back, we watched as Lisa Loeb got her own reality show where she began to search for love. Although nothing stuck while filming she did eventually meet the man of her dreams and the couple recently wed. Congratulations and Happy 41st Birthday, Lisa, we hope that you continue to bring us great music this year.
The boy from Chicago has been shaking up Hollywood since he arrived to Los Angles in the early 1990's. Acting came naturally for Terrence who spent a great deal of time with his actress grandmother Minnie Gentry. Scoring roles on NYDP Blue, Soul Food, and Living Single led Terrence to also nab movie roles in Mr. Holland's Opus, Dead Presidents and his most noted role in Hustle & Flow which he was nominated by the Academy for Best Actor. The A-List actor will be appearing in the animated movie The Princess and the Frog, and in 2010 expect some action from Terrence in X-Factor. Happy 40th, Terrence!
