Christian Serratos Interview

Christian Serratos was born September 21, 1990 in Pasadena California. At a young age, Christian realized she had many talents. When she was not playing, she was acquiring new skills that helped her become the actress she is today. Christian was once a competitive figure skater, she is trained in Tai Kwon Do and Hapkido, she studied ballet, jazz and hip hop and she has a knack for writing music. Christian is playing, Angela Weber, in the upcoming hit movie Twilight. Check out the interview with Christian and don’t miss listening to her new song, “Why Are Boys Like That”…

Meet the amazing Christian Serratos who has more many incredible talents. Christian’s talent ranges from acting to dancing to singing to figure skating to jewelry designing and finally to martial arts. Man that is a lot! We were very lucky that the busy Christian chatted with PopStar.com to talk about her new role as Angela Weber in the upcoming movie, Twilight. We chatted with Christian about her new jewelry line, her singing career and of course Twilight.

PopStar.com: We have read that you many talents. You once were a competitive figure skater, you are a trained dancer and you enjoy dabbling in your singing career. What made you pick acting as a full time career above your other talents?
Christian Serratos: I do not think that I ever made a decision. I dabble in things that I have fun with like singing, skating, dancing and acting. There is always a time when I am will be doing one more of than the other so I just have fun and go with the flow.

PopStar.com: We have heard your song, “Why Are Boys Like That” on your myspace page. Tell us about your music career is this something that you would like to pursue?
Christian Serratos: Absolutely, I would love to continue with singing. I have always loved music and writing. Writing is what I really wanted to do so I think signing came along with my passion to write music. When I got the opportunity to go studio to record [“Why Are Boys Like That”], I definitely took that and went with it and have fun. It was a great experience and it was great to learn what it was like to work in a studio.

PopStar.com: We have read that you are a budding jewelry designer? Tell us a little about how you got into the jewelry business.
Christian Serratos: My mom is a designer and ever since I was little I was always helping her out with stuff. When I was six, I knew the name of all the stone because I was always helping and truly fascinated. My mom has a great line and I thought that it would be great to do a fun colorful teen line.

PopStar.com: What are the best and worst parts of an audition for you?
Christian Serratos: I love reading scripts; it is basically a little glimpse into their characters lives. I do not think that there is a bad part to auditioning. I just love it all. I have fun with every aspect of auditioning.

PopStar.com: Are you on Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Christian Serratos: I love them both so much. I think that it is so cute how they both fight over who loves Bella more, she is such a lucky girl. I don’t think I can pick a team.

PopStar.com: Do you have any memorable moments from shooting Twilight?
Christian Serratos: Yes, one scene when we were on the beach, Justin, had to chase me and he was covered in seaweed and allege. It was disgusting and it was touching me and it was gross and it was making all the sand stick to me. But it was so much fun being chased by it!

PopStar.com: Do you have any favorite scene from filming Twilight?
Christian Serratos: The dress scene. We got to try on dresses for the prom and they were just such funky out there dresses. Plus I liked that we were instead out of the cold.

PopStar.com: Did you connect with Angela?
Christian Serratos: Yes, I loved playing Angela. She as my first choice as a charterer; I had fallen in love with her from the books. She is such a genuine sweet person I was so happy to play her.

PopStar.com: If you had to play the role of a Vampire in Twilight, what special power would you pick?
Christian Serratos: I would definitely steal Edward’s power to read peoples mind because I am a very curious person that has to know everything.

PopStar.com: What was it like working with Robert Pattinson?
Christian Serratos: He is fantastic; he is great actor and is very sweet person. It was a lot of fun.
